About
The Friendship Lottery was established as a way to honor the memory of my mother whose life was cut short due to domestic violence. My mother was always paying it forward through doing random acts of kindness for people in the community. The vision for the friendship lottery came to me in a dream one night from my grandmother who was guiding me to create a way to give back and turn a tragedy into a blessing. Our vision for the Friendship Lottery organization is to show support and build our communities through raising awareness around community issues (i.e. Domestic Violence, Autism Awareness, Mental Health, Disabilities, Human Trafficking, etc.), and to create a network that supports local businesses, organizations, and social issues. The #thefriendshiplottery is simply a village of people of all walks of life working to give back. The lottery also brings a much needed highlight to small locally woman, veteran, and black owned businesses and organizations within our communities.
