Overview
The Journey Must Go on Award

Journey Crisman was a bright, beautiful, God Loving little girl. To be so young she had such a giving spirit and always wanted to make sure other children felt the same love, joy and encouragement that she received at home. On December 6, 2015, at the tender age of 7, Journey passed away. Journey’s family turned their grief into purpose by creating a foundation in Journey’s name and each year on her birthday, August 6th they give back to children in the community. Shawnna, Journey’s mom always says, “I couldn’t teach Journey about the world, but I can teach the world about Journey” and what better way to carry on the honor of teaching the world about who Journey was and what she represented by recognizing the accomplishments and achievements of our children in "OUR" village.

Annually, The Friendship Lottery in partnership and with the blessing of Journey’s family will choose one child from the community between the age of 7-18 who has demonstrated a heart for community service and academic excellence to be the recipient of The Journey Must Go On Award and donation.
